It’s Not Boring. It’s Ambient

It’s Not Boring. It’s Ambient is a double CD compilation of Ukrainian and Polish ambient artists released as a collaboration between Preserved Sound (Kraków) and AZH Promo (Kyiv). The idea for the compilation came in autumn 2011 when the guys at Preserved Sound talked about doing a compilation of Polish ambient artists. After contacting friends at AZH Promo in Kyiv it became clear that they had also been having the same ideas about releasing a compilation of Ukrainian ambient artists. Thus It’s Not Boring. It’s Ambient was born.

Heavy Snowfall

It was very, very cold – everybody complained. Now the temperature is around 0 deg. C but the heavy snowfall paralysed the communication system… Everybody complains! People – it is winter. It should be snowy, windy and cold!

Even Colder…

The weather is awful. No mercy. Yesterday when I was driving a car it was -25 deg. C near the lake. Today will be even colder. In some places of Poland they say it may be below -30 deg. C. As you can see it was -22 deg. C in the morning.

But yesterday I thought that some short Nordic Walking distance would be a good idea. So I took a train to the next village and than walked home at the lake (6 km). I also took some pictures at the lake. The lake is deep frozen. I even saw that a car was driving on the ice! Well, it is a stupidity, but still, it is so cold that the ice is really strong.

Cold | Need More Energy

It is really cold outside. It was almost -20 deg. at night, and -16 deg. C in the morning. All people should think about the temperature, especially those who like drinking outside. You know what I mean.  I saw the traditional, coal power plant today. The cloud coming out of the chimney was enormous what means that the demand for energy is huge. I hope it won’t last very long.

Polish Village Market

Although it is very cold outside (at night -17 degrees C, in the morning -12 degrees C), people in Poland still like going to markets, especially in small villages. Everything is cheaper and you can find many different things, beginning with food (meat, potatoes, apples, beans) and ending with clothes.
