This has been planned for a long time. Finally today the weather was great so I decided to go to the Katowice-Pyrzowice Airport. The nice journey was 90km long. I am a “spotter” now cause I took some nice pictures of the landing planes. Amazing experience!

Nordic Walking - StartI decided to take part in the Nordic Walking competition which took place not far away from my village. There were over 120 participants. The route wasn’t long – just 4.75 km and I managed to cover the distance in 37 m: 47 s. This was one of my best results ever but I couldn’t compete with the people who train Nordic Walking in some local clubs. What is more, the last time I was walking with the sticks was in June and than I started riding a bike (now over 1500 km in July and August). After the distance I wasn’t tired, cause I am rather fit, but the right muscles didn’t know how to work properly. (laughing). Maybe next time will be better. I have to train more!

Nordic Walking - Winners!

Polish Industry

This is what I saw while riding a bike (another 50km the day before yesterday, and 30km yesterday). It was a quite big factory which produced enamel utensils and also one of the most popular washing machines in Poland called “Frania“. This type of washing machine was owned by many families back in the times of communism. Now the factory doesn’t exist any more. It stopped the production 10 years ago (in 1992) and the buildings fell into decay. What a pity.

Service Mode 1

After 700 km I’ve managed to ride in July so far I had to switch into the Service Mode. I had to dismantle everything and clean the chain, gear wheels, etc. There was so much sand, dust mixed with lubricant that it was difficult to recognise the mechanism. So I had a rest day today, but still I need to do a Test Drive, to check if everything is all right.

Service Mode 2

half of the old house

This is a nice result. Over 500 km in only 12 days. I’ve never thought I’d manage!

Here are the pictures I took a few days ago. Most of them show old houses. Some of the houses are about 100 years old! I was talking to a man – I think this was the owner of the old house, but he was building a new one just behind the old one – and he told me that the house was over 90 years old and half of the house had collapsed a few years ago.

One of the photos below shows the blue building. It is a Sports Club “Eagle” – It is above the shop where they sell a lot of alcohol! A nice one!

My new album “Remaining Sounds” is already available on BandCamp (the Download version, we are still waiting for the physical goods!).

Here is a video I made for the track called “Remaining Motionless“. The clips were recorded in January 2011 and I wanted to use them for a different track, but now I think they fit amazingly well here!

Chapel in Woźniki

Yesterday I started exploring places I’ve never been before. They are not far from the place I live, but they are on the other side of the big road (not a motorway), called DK1. Maybe because of the road people who live on the east side of DK1 rarely go to the west side.

Yesterday I travelled 32.04 km and today another 50.31 km. I think it is quite a good result! As you can see, Poland is full of chapels and churches. Most of them are Roman Catholic. Some of the small chapels are adorable, but sometimes the parsonage is even bigger than the church! (check the sideshow where you can see one orange building which is a place where the priest lives!).

Pilgrimage in Poland

What is more, during the summer, even if you choose some small byroads you can wait in a traffic jam! And why? Because during the summer, especially around the city of Częstochowa, there are pilgrimages! Sometimes the pilgrims walk 500 km (or more!) to see the picture of Black Madonna and pray in front of it! This is something you cannot see in the other countries!

Koziegłowy (Goats' Heads)

Today I also visited Koziegłowy (the name of the town can be translated as “Goats’ Heads”), a nice small town which looks great! Thanks to the local businessmen who mostly produce artificial Christmas Trees for the whole world (and of course pay taxes), and the money which came from the EU they rebuilt the market. It looks pretty awesome!

So after two weeks I had some time to take part in the 25th Disquiet Junto project. It’s very hot outside so I decided to describe this situation with my music. First you hear the sounds which wake us up. Than there is the whole day of fight between hot, dense soundscapes, and cool guitar drinks somewhere in the background. The day ends when the we are tired, and can only reach for a glass of cold drink. Than we have to calm down and go to bed.

I used the “call pop” track by Westy Reflector.
I couldn’t let Westy Reflector down :-) If fact when I listened to his original “call pop” track I thought if would be nice to listen to some house version, but I am not very good at composing house music. I decided to go into a bit more experimental direction. Hope you like it!
