I am a proud member of Warsaw Laptop Orchestra… Here is our last live-act

The winter of 2013 / 2014 was very strange. The USA had terrible frost and huge snowfall, whereas the winter in Europe where I live was extraordinarily warm. We had only two weeks in January with the temperature below zero degrees Celsius and almost no snow. In order to remember this warm winter I felt like recording some warm sounds. Here they are. Enjoy them and remember to save your energy.

If you like streaming services like Spotify, you can listen to my music there, too (also Deezer or Wimp). My last “Boundless” EP can be found there.

You can also get it on iTunes – just click HERE

Remember that you can still get the physical copy – HERE

I am very happy to announce that my latest album entitled “Analogue” was published by an awesome boutique Australian label Twice Removed. The album was recorded in 2011 when I did not have a laptop. In order to record all ideas and the whole album I used the 4-track TASCAM taperecorder. It was a challenging experience full of constraints. I played all different guitars, kitchen utensils, I used contact microphones sticked to paper and all other possible things which surrounded me. I also cut the tape and glued it to make long loops on a reel-to-reel recorder. I hope you gonna like the music. Here it is:

I’m proud to tell you about my new release for a small but awesome boutique label from USA called Twin Springs Tapes. The album is called “Warm Winter Music” and pre-order will soon be available. Be careful. This will be a C-40 cassette release, and very limited one! Only 25 copies! So grab one ASAP! :-)

Here are the excerpts:

I am writing this message to ask you for a little support. But first of all I have to explain WHY am I doing this. In a month I am flying with a group of Polish artists to China, to perform during the ChoP Festival in several venues, in Shenzhen. As I have bad experience with the airlines which once lost my luggage I take all my musical gear into the hand luggage. As you can imagine I cannot take everything with me cause I have to minimise almost every part of my necessary equipment. I am using a guitar a lot but I cannot take all my pedals with me. So I found a great solution.

I want to buy the Line 6 Sonic Port

The cheapest Sonic Port in my country (Poland) is 375 PLN which is about 90 EUR or 120 USD.

That is why I decided to set the prices of all my digital releases to Name Your Price (starting with $0.00) and ask you for a little help. Please support one or more of my releases and help me purchase the Sonic Port which will be an awesome addition to my mobile live setup. The decision is yours.

Thank you and enjoy the music.

I would really like to tell you that this album is one of the best I heard this year. I know – I am not very objective cause it was published by my own ETALABEL. Still, I am a big fan of music, and I also buy a lot of vinyls, CDs and downloads, so I listen to many great albums all the time. But Virlyn recorded such delicate and intelligent ambient with a lot of additional instruments, field recordings, that you really have to listen to it. Just click, listen and than… support if you share the same opinion!
